The German Navy’s tall ship Gorch Folk has been visiting ports along the Atlantic Coast of North America all summer as well as participating in the American Sail Training Association’s TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE 2007. This incredible photo was taken last week as she sailed amidst icebergs off of Labrador. (Via the official website of the German Navy)

Please give me a phone number and name I can contact for information about the Tall Ship Sailing Society that my uncle, Henry Martin Lampe, belonged to. This society had reunions each year somewhere in Europe of seaman who had sailed around the Horn in a tall ship.
Thank you.

I wish I could provide you with the info you request; however, I’m not familiar with the organization you mention. Maybe it’s Tall Ships Youth Trust which used to be called the Sail Training Association. Here’s a link to their contact info page. Alternatively, you might want to try Sail Training International.
