		<description><![CDATA[This film remains one of my all time favorites.  At the impressionable age of 7 this was the first film that that I saw in movie theatre.  My father brought me to the River Theatre in Guerneville, California during our summer vacation along the Russian River, August 1957.  Dad had read us an abridged novel as a bedtime story the previous year.  Part of what makes this film good is that John Huston chose to cast  actors with expressive faces to great affect helping to give the film a worldly sense of realism.  The life of sail placed sailors from all the world  together.]]></description>
