Wow! Who knew that roller derby lives? Right nearby in Providence no less! With a nautical theme too! Perfect sponsorship beer battle between the local contender Narragansett and the old blue collar favorite Pabst Blue Ribbon! Children under 6 are free! What a family event! I must be dreaming. (Link)

I wish I had know that the event was happening! I have recorded 2 CD’s of sea shanties and I love it!

I was out of town for this show, but I strongly encourage folks to check out the band, “Sharks Come Cruisin’” at their next show: June 14 at Bridge Street Station in Fairhaven, MA. Sort of like the Clash meets sea shanties, the sharks are a LOT of fun. http://www.sharkscomecruising.com
