As previously reported, on September 11, 2008, the Irish sail training vessel Asgard II was lost in the Bay of Biscay. Thankfully all souls survived. (A Significant Loss for Sail Training, the sinking of the Irish Asgard II)

In this week’s episode, RTÉ interviews Captain Tom McCarthy and they reflect on the loss of the Asgard II and the future of Irish sail training.
